Yup! I’,m working on it, another new album and I’m very excited as I already have 5 songs done (just tweaking). And in the midst of writing 2 more.
I always find it so exhilarating writing, playing and producing new music. It is such a process that is so fulfilling, when I start off with an idea or a riff, start to build and layer and make it into a song. My process usually starts off with the rhythm, a bass riff or drum track. To me that is the foundation and from there my ears take over as I hear in my head what the song could and should be. Then I start layering, it could be guitar, it could be keyboards, or a virtual plugin, in essence it could be any instrument I play in which I start laying down tracks as it reverberates in my head. Then I listen to it on my hour to an hour and a half ride to work daily, continually playing it over and over and over. I hum to it, sing to it, make noises to it, to get down what more I want to add to the song. When I get home that evening (after listening again the whole ride back) I will rush up to my studio and lay down a few test tracks just to capture the right riff’s or vocal phrasings, this way I won’t forget what I wanted it to sound like or add in. This process can take only a few days or even is some cases months before the song is finally were I want it to be musically. Then the next step is the mixing and production that needs to be done to finalize and really make it a sharp, sleek and sounding great. Again on my hour and a half ride to work daily, I repeat continually playing the song over and over and over. This way I hear where I want to balance the instruments, add embellishments and ornaments to achieve that professional sounding song ready for release. This is my process that works for me. Oh, for those of you that may ask – I don’t have a name yet for the album that will come to me at some point. I do have some idea’s so I might need some help. What do you think I should name it?
Keep checking in on it’s progress and eventually a release date.
With Latin percussion through out the song — a song with Spanish Flair – You must know how to dance to the Bossa Bass a Nova? If not you should take the time to learn, it’s just a two step – slow- quick quick 1-2 – Now that you got it, I know you got it – Let’s take it Uptown!
The question that I pose to you, “Did you ever have a love emergency?” Picture this-you just broke up with your significant other (yes, I have to be politically correct-what bullshit) and you feel unloved and you start to go into a depressive state. You think you are going to have a heart attack and you don’t know if you will survive without (Him or Her-LOL). What drugs can you take, your heart is palpitating, you might be ready to die!! Call the nurse, the doctor first-you are diagnosed that you need love urgently. As this is your love emergency.
A straight forward 4 quarter beat – with some nice back ground and chorus vocals. I fore see a great entertaining video to go along with this song., especially the way the lyric’s are written. I recently downloaded the whole new album, “This is My Life” on Soundcloud and some songs from Eclectic Collaborations and Aldo Buzzi “RAW”. Don’t know if you have ever been on Soundcloud? But it is a nice format for exposure.
Have you ever been in that place where you love someone so much you can’t stand the person? When you are around them you want them to go away, but when there gone you miss the hell out of them? You fight most of the time but the make up sex is figgin fantastic? How many times have you’ve been Crazy in Love? You do stupid things for the one you think you love. You go out on a limb, you fight, curse and make up. Listen to you’re heart, but don’t get lost in love and lose yourself when you are, “Crazy in Love”
Come on – Come on–was inspired by Paul McCartney’s Eygpt Station album -I enjoyed the back and forth guitar sounds from one of the title tracks, ” Come on to me”. I think you will hear that in the beginning of my song if you compare the two. Obviously by no way am I comparing myself to such an accomplished and ground breaking artist of one of the founding fathers of the Beatles. Although the influences are there and I would say any inspirations from any artist helps develop more songs and music is a great thing! (I hope Paul would appreciate that point) – The words are an anthem to being yourself and not caring what anyone else (or the Establishment) Thinks – Enjoy, “Come On Come On”
“Another” was written with this neat plugin called Dark Theory. It has some, (I think) Pink Floyd overtones to it, obviously “another” one of my earlier influences. It has a progression that meanders through the atmosphere with some background tones from the Dark Theory. This is a full on instrumental that you need to crank the volume, smoke a joint and be immersed in “Another” time and space continuum.

A straightforward tune that might be
its own anthem asserting: “this is your moment”
and fortifying its message with a strong double-
tracked main vocal. There appears to be some
beat anomalies though one never knows if these
are intentionally placed or artifacts from a rebellious
effect plug or two.
The instrumental break is sparse and somewhat disembodied
and the lyrics perhaps a bit redundant. The sound is more
’neo-garage’ then it is ‘recording studio’ polished but allowances
should always be made as this is part of the ‘appeal’ of Buzzi’s
One wonders if the author was up against a deadline (self-imposed or otherwise)to complete it – There’s ‘more to this life’ than we are given here both thematically and stylistically. Perhaps the entertainment adage to ‘always leave the audience wanting more’ has been employed here with skilled hands (and ears) and for those die-hard fans of Buzzi’s music out there ‘This Is My Life’ might be the sonnet they’ve been waiting for. – JoeZworld
